The Water Authority of Fiji, the brainchild and puppet of Khaiyum, has announced their plan to meet their obligation to provide water for citizens – HOPE. That’s right, their plan is to hope for rain! What’s Plan B? Pray? Speaking to FijiLive, WAF Chief Executive Opetaia Ravai said the water level at their Tamavua Treatment plant has picked up and eased the burden. What has this got to do with rain? Doesn’t Tamavua get its water from the Rewa river via the Waila pumping station? Has Waila ever run dry? When will somebody hold Khaiyum to account for water supply disasters?
