Franks First Test

When parliament meets on 6 October they will elect a Speaker and send draft Standing Orders to a Standing Order Committee which consists of the Speaker as the Chair, leader of the government in Parliament and the whip of each party. Standing Orders will have a big bearing on how Parliament function so this will be Frank’s first test. Will he listen and consider alternatives, or will he simply bulldoze opposition and use his majority to pass Standing Orders ignoring the views of the Opposition?  He has a majority, so he can get approval for whatever Standing Orders he wants, but the question is will he cooperate with the Opposition?
