Khaiyum strikes again

The Fiji Hardwood Corporation (FHCL) Board has announced that it’s sacked Acting CEO Simione Sigaca, Acting Chief Financial Officer Mohammed Rafiq and Personnel Officer Netani Koto. No reason are given for the sackings. In April FHCL was stripped of most of its powers over the marketing of Fijian mahogany. This was announced by the PS for Public Enterprise, Elizabeth Powell, who works directly to Khaiyum. Yesterday’s announcment was made in the name of the board, chaired by, guess who, Elizabeth Powell, but the real author is the same – King Khaiyum. The announcement said the action was taken because of the need for ‘transparency’ but no reasons are given for the sacking and the hidden hand of Khaiyum is nowhere mentioned.

and no right to challenge in the kaiyum court of law.

Khaiyum revels in the fact that he can act with impunity and loves that he can do anything he damn well pleases because no one questions him to his face.
