Serious crime is still there

The Fiji Police Force have again been forced to admit that the crime which worries us most – “aggravated robberies” is still a problem. This means home invasions and the senseless and brutal mugging of taxi drivers. The regime promised that it would get tough on these crimes – and beat a lot of people to flex its muscles – but serious crime has not gone away. What the police really need is professional leadership by someone of the standing of former Commissioner Andrew Hughes.
