Big deal

Radio Khaiyum is getting very excited about trade “deals” with PNG. One of Khaiyum’s key lackeys, Trade Permanent Secretary Shaheen Ali, is predicting big things for trade with PNG. Khaiyum should be more worried about the Australian market which supplies by far the biggest part of our tourist income. Instead the only strategy he and Bainimarama have for our tourism market is to bash Australia, kicking out Ambassadors or attacking union leaders. Propaganda about ‘big deals’ with PNG are designed to divert attention from the the threat of a drop in Australian and Kiwi tourists.
