Illegal Attorney General Khaiyum has urged all Fijians to register to vote, as if this means he’s genuine in his wish to see all register. He knows that in past elections the SDL Party has played big part in encouraging its supporters to register, but are handicapped by the ban on meetings, and the ban on them being held in Methodist church halls. Khaiyum also knows that many rural iTaukei will have difficulty getting to centres to register and will rely on organisations to which they belong to assist with transport. If those organisations happen to be the Methodist Church or the SDL party they may have difficulty.
