The brucellosis deaths

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that Livestock Officers have died of brucellosis. But the regime won’t say how many have died and they claim that the deaths must be partly due to other diseases as well as brucellosis. In other words, don’t expect this military regime to take responsibility for anything. If our dictator was not such an arrogant pig he would approach Australia and seek assistance. Australian aid would have meant access to the protective clothing needed to prevent Livestock officers from catching brucellosis. A check on the Australian animal health site will confirm this. Australia has successfully eradicated brucellosis by using a vaccine but Frank Bainimarama wouldn’t consider asking for Australian help. He’s too busy spending Chinese aid money on wining and dining Pacific Island leaders so he can pretend they approve of his dictatorship.

When they say ,”they claim that the deaths must be partly due to other diseases as well as brucellosis”, maybe they are referring to the strain of brucellosis carried by feral pigs.

Then again, maybe we need to look no further than, “If our dictator was not such an arrogant pig”
