The Shameemful ambassador

In the same week that the Video of Shame hit the internet the regime announced the appointment of Nazhat Shameem as Fiji’s very first Goodwill Ambassador for Women. This is the same Shameem who connived in the coup, helping to dress their ousting of the Chief Justice as legal so that the judiciary would not stand in the way of the illegal seizure, and said nothing when people who protested the illegal actions were hauled up to the QEB to be beaten and abused. This included women but this champion of women said nothing, just as she had said nothing about the Video of Shame. Mind you, the idea of such an appointment is a good one (and long overdue), but why denigrate it with someone like Shameem? There are far more worthy candidates. Her appointment is a set-back for the rule of law and the protection of women.

Since the Madam is such a glorious Ambassador perhaps she can, as the ‘voice’ of empowerment for women use her inner circle connections to overturn the cancelled permit for the Women’s march today?

Gotta hand it to Mrs Aslam Khan. She’ll use any opportunity she can (like in PNG) to place her better half on a pedestal. Vodafone must be desperate. Is Digicel still kicking youz in the teeth?

Obviously this new role is to sensitize the public towards some international profile (of hers) here, and we can thank two female military connections for that ie the Minsta of free el cheapo sewing machines Luveni and the Commissioner Northern’s wifey, Arieta Moceica now masquerading very quietly under the radar as Director of Social Welfare (Mrs Teleni’s old job — yes it appears that that role is reserved solely for the army wives).

Talking about (almost) army wives, another military she-devil Ana Rokomokoti is high-tailing it back to her motherland of India as some high level diplomat.

  2. Shame On Me Says:

Those who can do and those who can’t teach. She was useless as a judge. Great in theory, useless in practice. She has people bluffed into thinking she knows the law. She has no moral compass.
